 9\n\n\nThe purpose of this event is to join a school\, a scientific progra
 m \nand a conference in multiscale modeling where teachers\, students and\
 nscientists in computational science and engineering will be brought\ntoge
 ther to present\, discuss and solve problems in areas of reserach\ninvolvi
 ng multiple scales.\n\nLectures on computational multiscale techniques wil
 l be presented in the\nfirst week\, covering the areas of numerical analys
 is\, chemistry\,\nbiology\, nano and material science. The second week wil
 l offer\ncomputational exercises to be solved in small groups. During the 
 second week the scientific program will start\, where\nleading scientists 
 in multiscale modelling will present seminars on the areas of the expertis
 e\, and which\nwill be open for discussion among the particpants. The fina
 l two days will be devoted to a regular conference\nwhere a larger number 
 of particpants can present regular talks and posters.  PhD students can re
 ceive credit for\nthe school at their home departments.\n\n\n\nThe school 
 is intended for PhD students in applied mathematics\, numerical analysis\,
  scientific computing\, computational physics\,\ncomputational chemistry a
 nd compuational biology.\n\n\n\nStudents affiliated with a university in F
 inland\, Norway\, and Sweden are encouraged to apply for a scholarship to
