Quantum dynamics and interstellar chemistry

I will begin by a brief background to why molecular information like rate constants are needed in interstellar space and then go on to describe and exemplify ways of calculating this data. Due to the low temperatures and prevalence of light hydrogen atoms quantum effects are particularly important to consider which will be illustrated.
