Description
Recent years have witnessed dramatic progress in calculations of one-loop amplitudes, which are the key ingredients in next-to-leading order calculations for collider physics. I will review the need for these calculations, as well as the developments of recent years. I will show some examples of recent applications to studies of vector boson+jet distributions at hadron colliders. I will also discuss the prospects for extending these advances to yet-higher order in perturbation theory.
