In a sequence of papers we have discussed whether the Sun is just
a normal solar-type star, or whether it shows special properties, which possibly might be related to the characteristics of the planetary system or even our own existence. An interesting result, that the solar chemical composition really shows relatively small but systematic deviations from most solar-like stars in the Galaxy will be presented at the seminar and its possible implications will be discussed.
