Description
Downscaling trend of current technologies promotes traditionally classical research areas into the quantum realm. Efficient manipulations on the level of individual particles requires strong correlations which can be typically enhanced by many-body effects in reduced dimensions. On the other hand any working quantum scheme implies out-of-equilibrium regime of functioning.

Therefore we need a fundamental understanding of quantum strongly correlated systems under the far- from equilibrium conditions. Partial understanding of these phenomena comes from recent experimental advance in the fields of ultracold atoms, solid-state based quantum devices and non-linear quantum optical systems.

I will give an overview of theoretical efforts toward deeper understanding of dynamics in quantum strongly-correlated systems.
