Workshop on the Science and Technology of 4th Generation Light Sources Based on Superconducting Technology

Europe/Stockholm
AlbaNova University Center Stockholm, Sweden

AlbaNova University Center Stockholm, Sweden

Description

We are pleased to announce that the Stockholm-Uppsala FEL Center will organize a two-day workshop on the science and technology of 4th generation light sources based on superconducting technology in the fall of 2012.

The aim of the workshop is to identify those areas of science for which these light sources – as compared to 4th generation light sources based on ‘warm’ technology – can be expected to have the biggest impact, and to single out those technical issues for which further research and development is needed in order to be able to fully exploit the potential offered by these sources.

Mats Larsson Ulf Karlsson Joseph Nordgren

The workshop is sponsored by

Stockholm-Uppsala Free Electron Laser Center

The Nobel Committee for Physics, The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences

The Swedish Research Council (VR)

Conference Venue

The workshop is scheduled to take place at the AlbaNova University Center (Stockholm University and The Royal Institute of Technology).
