Description

During recent years, the existing copper vapor-based laser systems of the RILIS laboratory at the ISOLDE facility have undergone an important upgrade. The pump lasers have been replaced with a new solid state laser system with better performance and reliability. At the same time, a new off-line laboratory (LARIS) has been set up, with the purpose of developing more efficient ionization schemes. This laboratory consists of three independent tunable laser systems, making it possible to investigate ionization schemes without disturbing RILIS experimental schedules.
