Description
I will present my master thesis work performed at battery manufacturer Nilar AB, where I took part in a project characterizing electrode scrap. The overall goal was to see if the scrap was easily recyclable, and for that purpose we developed a fast procedure for characterizing the resistivity of positive electrodes and procedure for half cell tests characterizing the negative electrodes. The results of these proceures applied to the scrap proved that scrap from positive electrodes could not be easily recycled, while the negative counterpart was more easily recycled. The procedure has also been useful for other tests on nickel electrode materials, which I will also present.
