Particlelike states in helical magnets: chiral skyrmions and bobbers

Description
The special interest to particlelike states in helical magnets arose after the breakthrough results on the direct observation of chiral magnetic skyrmions in thin films. Our theoretical studies based on a micromagnetic model predict a new particlelike states named chiral bobbers. I will talk about simulations helping to reveal the features of these objects and about the latest experimental evidences.
