Description
The somewhat peculiar solar chemical composition suggests that the early proto-solar cloud was partially cleansed from dust-forming elements. I have studied whether the nearby massive bright stars, expected to have once been present close to the proto-Sun, could have radiatively cleansed enough of its gas to explain the solar composition and if similar mechanisms were even affecting the composition of the Solar-like stars in the cluster M67.
