Hybrid talk: Mega (6228, Hus 3, Albano) + https://stockholmuniversity.zoom.us/j/530682073
Exploration of the era of the first stars and galaxies is a science goal for many current and future telescopes. This period, known as the cosmic dawn and epoch of reionization, saw the formation of the building blocks of most structures we see in the current day Universe. In this talk I will provide an overview of what we have learned in recent years, with a focus on the 21-cm signal from neutral hydrogen. It will also highlight some of my own contributions. I will address both the global signal, measured by single antennas such as EDGES as well as the scale-dependent information accessible to interferometers such as LOFAR. I will further look forward to what can be expected within the next 10 years.
