Strings with Carrollian symmetries naturally arise near the horizon of a non-extremal black hole. In this talk, I will discuss two models of Carrollian strings: the electric and the magnetic. While the former retains a Lorentzian worldsheet, the electric Carrollian string has a Carrollian worldsheet. Finally, I will make some comments about the quantisation of Carrollian strings.
