QPO's in X-ray binaries and AGN

We have discovered the first significant (>3sigma) QPO in the Narrow Line Seyfert 1 galaxy RE J1034+396. This strengthens the idea that AGN are indeed just scaled up Galactic black hole binary systems, with their plethora of QPO signatures. I will talk about what we learn about the conditions for QPO formation from the binary systems, and how the AGN QPO fits into this picture.
