DESCRIPTION:The COLIBRE project (http://colibre-simulations.org) is a new
large cosmological simulation project. In cosmological volumes of differen
t sizes and resolution levels\, we use COLIBRE to model the formation and
evolution of up to 900\,000 resolved galaxies for almost 14 billion years.
I will present the critical ingredients of these simulations and the firs
t lessons learned from COLIBRE: from galaxies in the early Universe to gal
axies in the local Universe. About the speaker: My research field is comp
utational galaxy formation. I am developing and analysing complex cosmolog
ical simulations. I am particularly interested in isolating the impacts of
the dark matter microphysics on galaxy formation. I obtained my PhD at th
e University of Vienna (Austria) and have since had postdoc positions and
fellowships at the University of Leiden (NL) and the University of Durham
(UK). Currently\, I am leading two independent research projects at the Un
iversity of Vienna (Austria). \nAt the OKC:  Monday afternoon through We
 dnesday\, CoPS corridor A5.\n\nhttps://indico.fysik.su.se/event/9569/
