Abstract: One-loop partition functions encode the leading-order quantum corrections to the gravitational path integral and can be constructed from quasinormal modes. We investigate how exact computations of one-loop partition functions can be extended beyond highly symmetric backgrounds. Trace formulas provide a useful framework connecting spectral data of kinetic operators to geometric data of the underlying manifold. In this talk, I will present how we develop a method to compute one-loop partition functions on broader classes of manifolds using generalized trace formulas. I will conclude this talk by classifying two geometric types in the context of trace formulas.
