DESCRIPTION:The high angular resolution and infrared sensitivity of JWST a
 re enabling the detection and investigation of the early stages of star fo
 rmation in extragalactic regions. I will review recent results obtained in
  nearby galaxies by the JWST-FEAST project in terms of tracking the most r
 ecent sites of star formation\, measuring the properties of feedback\, con
 necting these sites to the underlying molecular reservoirs\, and linking t
 he low-redshift results to the high-redshift findings that are starting to
  pour in.\nAbout the speaker: Daniela Calzetti is a Distinguished Professo
 r at the University of Massachusetts\, USA. She has been investigating th
 e properties of star formation and dust on the scales of galaxies in the 
 local universe\, using the information provided by a variety of both space
 -borne (Hubble\, Spitzer\, Herschel\, JWST\, etc.) and ground-based telesc
 opes\, at wavelengths that range from the ultraviolet to the radio. Since
  2020\, she is a member of the USA National Academy of Sciences.\nIn the
