DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Hui Liu (Stockholm University)\n\nA band with zero C
hern number can host energy-resolved topological fine structure. We show t
hat this structure can be controlled within a single isolated band by rear
ranging its Bloch-state energies alone\, without changing the underlying e
igenstates. Using a two-orbital lattice model as a representative example\
, we demonstrate that tuning scalar hopping changes the spectral localizer
index inside the band while preserving its Berry curvature and keeping th
e interband gap open\, leading to nontrivial chiral edge states within the
band. Berry phases around closed constant-energy contours predict the res
olved low-lying localizer levels and thus explain the presence of intraban
d nontrivial chiral edge states. Our work connects Bloch-state geometry to
the real-space spectral localizer\, providing a route toward engineering
topological boundary transport without requiring a nonzero band Chern numb
