On D-branes in Flux vacua

I will discuss the interplay between D-branes and fluxes in type IIA and type IIB string theory flux vacua, and in particular features like D-brane moduli stabilization, Freed-Witten anomalies, K-theory torsional charges and the open string landscape. I will also discuss how these phenomena map to each other in simple mirror symmetric constructions.
