Description

Entanglement has proven to be a highly desirable resource for quantum protocols. From quantum key distribution to quantum voting, this resource must be created and distributed between all the parties involved. This requires channels of distribution (such as photon through optical fibers), and multi-party entangled states (such as GHZ states). This presentation will have a focus on the building blocks of such photonic networks, from bipartite entanglement created through non-linear interactions to multipartite GHZ states, with an overview of the technologies required to achieve this.
