Did you know that sand is the second-most-used commodity, after water? In this session of News&Views Kiran Pereira Capelli, PhD student at the Stockholm Resilience Center, will tell us about some of the challenges and issues related to sand mining around the world and her research which highlights a diverse portfolio of initiatives to find solutions to this problem which is  a key issue for global sustainability.
