Description

Precision experiments are continually confirming the standard models of both particle physics and cosmology. However when put together these models are plagued with unprecedented Hierarchy problems. Inspired by potential resolutions of the gauge Hierarchy problem, one can follow similar routes to confront the Cosmological constant problem. I will show why large extra dimensions represent a unique framework where new ideas to solve the Hierarchy problems can be explored and evade 4d no-go theorems.
