Description
In this talk I will review the most recent observational results regarding spectral properties of the broad-band emission of AGN jets produced at different (sub-pc to Mpc) scales. Next I will identify the most relevant radiative processes involved, discuss the energy spectra of ultrarelativistic particles needed to produce the observed emission, and comment on the appropriate particle acceleration/energy dissipation mechanisms. Finally, I will summarize the resulting constrains on physical parameters of extragalactic relativistic outflows, such as a dynamical role and a structure of the jet magnetic field.
