Description
The Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope (previously known as GLAST) was successfully launched on 11 June 2008. The main instrument, the Large Area Telescope (LAT) is sensitive from 30 MeV to 300 GeV and is surveying the full sky every three hours. The gamma-ray sky at these energies is now monitored with LAT at unprecedented sensitivity revealing many new sources and demonstrating the dynamic nature of the high energy universe. Some of the new results from these observations will be described, with emphasis on AGN Blazars and galactic X-ray binaries.
