Description
The quantum Hall system has highly non-trivial ground states and particles with strange properties, such as electric charge that is one third of that of an electron. This occurs in a system of electrons at low energy as a consequence of their interaction. My aim in this talk is to use an exact solution of the interacting electron system to explain, in a simple manner, basic quantum Hall phenomena.
