COLLOQUIUM: Modern theory of nuclear forces

I will review recent progress towards understanding the properties of nuclear forces and few-nucleon systems based on chiral effective field theory. Special emphasis will be put on nucleon-deuteron scattering and the physics of three-nucleon forces.
