PICASSO is an array of bubble detectors constructed to search for spin
dependent interactions of weakly interacting massive particles. The
completed setup contains 32 detectors with a combined active mass of
2.6 kg, installed at SNOLAB at a depth of 2070 meters in the Creighton
mine in Sudbury. This seminar will give an introduction to the
technology of bubble detectors, and describe the installation and
performance evaluation of the PICASSO detectors. The current exclusion
limits and expected sensitivity improvements will also be discussed.
