Description
This presentation deals with a few research subjects such as: i) modeling of protein surface; ii) comparison of proteins structures for protein-protein and protein-ligand interaction; iii) retrieval of structural motifs from a protein data base). The first problem consists of the general exploitation of the Mathematical Morphology for proteins surface modeling and for the analysis of structural problems in protein-protein interactions and some parameters evaluations; the second one refers to structural comparison and analysis of protein surfaces in order to find solutions for the docking problem through PR techniques and data structures such as the EGI or the concavity tree. The third one considers the application of the Generalized Hough transform for protein retrieval in a data base, for comparison of proteins structures and for structural motifs or domains detection.
