Description
Testing a large number of conditions in a relatively short time in cell or organism models while monitoring several readouts in parallel is called high content analysis. Such an approach has been made possible through the development of automated procedures to collect and analyze images. It has the potential to accelerate and deepen the understanding of fundamental biological processes, either normal or pathological. Now even challenging cell types, such as CNS neurons, can be studied with this approach. In this presentation we will show examples of HCA of two culture models of CNS neurons used to screen a kinase inhibitor library in the pursuit of growth promoting compounds to address axonal regeneration problems.
