Description
Recent surveys seem to indicate large-scale peculiar motions, commonly referred to as ``dark flows'', considerably stronger than anticipated. At the same time, an increasing number of reports suggest the presence of a small dipolar anisotropy in the supernovae data. In other words, the universe appears to accelerate slightly faster in one direction and slightly slower in the opposite. Moreover, this ``cosmological axis'' lies close to the Cosmic Microwave dipole. We discuss the possibility that the two aforementioned observations are related.
