Description
A new facility, Free Electron Lasers for Infrared Experiments (FELIX) is under construction in Nijmegen. It consists of three FELs operating between 3 micron and 1500 micron generating high power radiation making non-linear experiments possible. Examples will be given of recent experiments as well as the status of FLARE the long wavelength laser that started lasing in September and proposed programs of the facility in solid state and molecular physics.
