Description
Quantum effects are being studied in various different sized systems and exploited in quantum information science and quantum metrology. In this talk I will discuss various systems that either operate at the quantum limit or have the potential to do so. In particular, I will address experiments on single photon plasmonics, highly non-classical cat states, quantum key distribution and micro-mechanical oscillators.
