We are pleased to announce that the Stockholm-Uppsala FEL Center will organize a two-day workshop on the science and technology of 4th generation light sources based on superconducting Technology in the fall of 2012.

The aim of the workshop is to identify those areas of science for which these light sources – as compared to 4th generation light sources based on ‘warm’ technology – can be expected to have the biggest impact, and to single out those technical issues for which further research and development is needed in order to to be able to fully exploit the potential offered by these sources.

Conference Venue

The workshop is scheduled to take place at the AlbaNova University Center (Stockholm University and The Royal Institute of Technology).

AlbaNova lies on the north slope of Albano hill, close to Roslagstull. AlbaNova can be approached from two directions: from the south(main entrance)or from the north. From the south, approach AlbaNova either from Valhallavägen via Körsbärsvägen and Ruddammsvägen, by footpaths and cycle paths from the KTH main campus, or from Roslagstull via Roslagstullsbacken. From the north, reach AlbaNova from Roslagsvägen at Kräftriket, through the Albano industrial estate.
