Geometry of separable and entangled quantum states

by Jon Magne Leinaas (Oslo)

To distinguish entangled from non-entangled states is in general a difficult problem.

I give an introduction to how this distinction can be understood in geometric terms, and discuss some recent numerical methods to examine the geometry of the set of entangled states for a bipartite system.
