Description

This presentation will summarize the research activities at Biomedical and X-Ray Physics. We will briefly touch upon:

* X-ray generation: Compact sources based on laser plasmas.

* X-ray optics: Diffractive and multilayer.

* X-ray microscopy: Instruments and early applications.

* EUV (extreme ultraviolet) generation: Sources for future lithography systems.

* Optical microscopy: Biomedical imaging.

* Acoustic radiation forces: Application for biomedical analysis.

* Visual optics: Diagnostics and improvement of peripheral vision.

* Miscellaneous: If there is time
