The new accelerator complex at GSI

A new international accelerator centre is planned at GSI in Germany. It is intended for research in plasma, atomic, nuclear and hadron physics as well as in applications. A brief overview of the accelerators and their purpose will be given. The experimental facility PANDA at the high-energy antiproton storage ring is described in more detail.
