Description
In this presentation I will discuss Carter's constant of the motion for rotating black holes. This constant plays an important role in current investigations of astrophysical systems emitting gravitational radiation. The origin of Carter's constant is explained and its nature is probed to reveal a new and simple form in terms of flat space quantities.
