Description
During natural vision, scene perception depends on accurate targeting of attention, anticipation of the physical consequences of motor actions, and the ability to continuously integrate visual inputs with stored representations. Despite multiple data, attention is still not well understood. I provide an overview of computational principles of visual attention and demonstrate those in comparing model simulations with electrophysiological and behavioral data of visual perception. One particular aspect will focus on computational principles of why we subjectively perceive a stable visual environment despite interruptions from eye movements.
