Quantum measurements with prescribed symmetry

Description
We study the problem of introducing free parameters in quantum measurements having a prescribed symmetry. We show that the resolution of a linear system of equations provides the full answer to the entire problem in some relevant cases. As consequence, we show that known maximal sets of mutually unbiased bases and symmetric informationally complete POVM are isolated in dimensions four to sixteen. Our results are robust under the consideration of finite precision in vectors defining quantum measurements.
