Description
Supersymmetry (SUSY) is one attractive way to extend the Standard Model of particle physics. In order to test SUSY it is important to make reliable and precise predictions of its theoretical consequences. One important observable, which is predicted by SUSY, is the mass of the lightest Higgs boson. Recently, a new method, called FlexibleEFTHiggs, was introduced for the calculation of this observable. FlexibleEFTHiggs is an effective field theory (EFT) type approach in which the EFT is the Standard Model and the quartic Higgs self-coupling is fixed through the matching of the Higgs pole mass. In sharp contrast to the two conventional methods used to calculate the mass of the lightest Higgs, FlexibleEFTHiggs maintains a constant theoretical uncertainty for the whole range of possible SUSY scales. In this thesis the method is extended to a scenario, where the EFT is a Two-Higgs-Doublet Model. The extended method is then compared to the two conventional methods.
