Description
I was asked to talk about the future. I don't know much about it, but I
will discuss whether quantum mechanics will be superseded by a better
theory in the future. Perhaps because this is needed to handle gravity?
Or when the domain of application is extended in some other way? In
retrospect it is easy to see that the formalism of classical mechanics has
some features that point directly to quantum mechanics. Does the
formalism of quantum mechanics have some features that point beyond
it?'
