Description
I will discuss how small scale-quantum networks can be used for high-resolution astronomical imaging. Transmission losses in a telescopic array can be completely circumvented by storing both the quantum state and the arrival time of photons in quantum memories at the telescopes. This allows for imaging of faint objects out of reach of current technology. I will discuss a scheme, which offers an exponential decrease in entanglement resources compared to previous work, making its experimental implementation feasible with near-term technology.
