Description

Welcome to the workshop on Gender Perspectives on Science of the SMART-X Innovative Training Network. The workshop will be held virtually on Zoom on April 26 2021 at 13.00-16.30 in Stockholm.

We have the pleasure to present three invited lecturers with a broad expertise about gender aspects in Science, who present different perspectives on Gender in Science and guide our discussions.

Prof. Anna Danielsson from the Department of Mathematics and Science Education at Stockholm University is studying issues related to gender, identity and power in the context of teaching and learning science and technology.

Prof. Tomas Brage from the Division of Mathematical Physics of the Department of Physics in Lund University is in addition to physics, studying gender issues in science, and actions for equal opportunities in the academia.

Prof. Dr. Jadranka Gvozdanović is a linguistics professor at Heidelberg University and a gender expert. In both fields, her research focuses on change processes, on how and why change begins and which factors contribute to adoption of change or resistance to it.
