This talk will address the problem of clustering a multidimensional dynamical system. We propose a modification of the Leich-Newman algorithm [Leicht and Newman, Phys. Rev. Lett.  100, 118703] which is able to detect communities of intra-connected points in the phase space and from that, information about the residence time of the system and of its principal periodicities. This method employs a novel algorithm to construct the transition rate matrix of the dynamical system under study which encodes the time dependency of its Perron-Frobenious operator.  In the second part of the talk, we will present a method to determine the Jacobian determinant of the dynamical system’s forcing field from its Perron-Frobenius operator.
