Description
The ISOLDE facility at CERN is a large scale laboratory where various ions are produced to be used by some 300 researchers within nuclear physics, material science, atomic physics and biological physics. The ions are produced by laser exictations in two laboratories, RILIS and LARIS, that uses multi-photon ionization and will be described in detail.
