Nordita is excited to host the 2025 Winter School on "Physics of Machine Learning & Machine Learning for Physics," which will take place in Stockholm from January 13th to 24th, 2025. This event aims to bridge the gap between the fields of physics and machine learning, offering a platform for young researchers to acquire cutting-edge skills in modern machine learning and apply them to frontier problems in physics.

Participants will explore how physical principles can enhance machine learning models and, conversely, how machine learning can advance the understanding of complex physical systems. The school is tailored for physics PhD students, junior postdocs, and advanced Master's students eager to deepen their expertise at the interface of these two transformative disciplines.

Preference will be given to participants from Nordic countries, but applications from all regions are welcome.

Venue

This in-person event will take place at Nordita, in Albano Building 3, Room 4204, 4205 & 4208. You can find the venue and details of the Niels Bohr Colloquium here (note that there is a fika before the colloquium at 14.30).
