Description

Save the date: OKC Day – November 12, 2026

When and where: At AlbaNova, starting at 8:45 in FB42
The main entrance and the accessibility doors (level 3) should be unlocked between 08:20 and 09:40.

The programme is still under construction and subject to change.

On Thursday 12 November, OKC Day brings the whole Oskar Klein Centre community together for a full day at AlbaNova. This year the day focuses on three things:

  1. Getting to know each other: flash talks where Working groups and researchers across OKC share what they are working on right now, transdisciplinary speed dating, and a treasure hunt running all day.
  2. Tools for your research: resources at SU and KTH you may not know you have, and a panel on how researchers actually get funded, and the chance to find a grant buddy.
  3. Careers beyond academia: a session on going from academia to the private sector, and a panel with OKC alumni on where they went and how they got there.

We end the day with a poster session and mingle, sparkling wine and snacks - and prizes for the treasure hunt!

For those who want to keep socializing, there's an informal AW afterwards.

Confirmed speakers (more to be announced in the coming weeks):

  • Ariel Goobar (Centre Director and OKC Reseracher)
  • Per Larsson (Coordinator for research communication at Stockholm University and convener of the editorial group who works with editorial content at the university. )
