Description
Observables for scattering of black holes can be computed from worldline effective actions. These in turn are useful as input in the calibration of waveform models based on the effective one body Hamiltonian. I will describe the effective point particle actions used to model the black holes and focus in particular on the addition of classical spin into the description. I will then show how the worldline quantum field theory approach can be used to compute deflections and spin kick for the black holes.
