Title:
Probing dark sectors with large-scale structure

Abstract:
Current and upcoming large-scale structure probes allow for precision tests of the standard cosmological model. In this talk I discuss the  possibility to probe deviations from the cold dark matter paradigm with  galaxy survey data. Specifically, taking the Hubble tension as motivation, I discuss a microphysical model of the dark sector governed by a non-Abelian weakly coupled gauge symmetry, and show that its dynamics can provide a solution when considering DESI baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO) and Planck CMB data. The gauge interaction of a component of dark matter charged under this dark gauge symmetry leads to a specific dark acoustic oscillation feature imprinted in the galaxy distribution. This prediction can be tested with galaxy survey data, and could also provide an explanation of recent DESI results.
