Why are we certain that dark matter exists in the Universe? What does it consist of, and how can we detect it by other means than through its gravity?
A brief history and summary of the situation today will be given, with focus on recent interesting findings on antimatter in cosmic rays - something that, if true, may force us to revise the nature of the leading dark matter candidates. The potential of forthcoming data will be discussed, with emphasis on projects where researchers at the newly created Oskar Klein Centre at AlbaNova are involved.
