Nonlinear Supersymmetry and DBI actions from constrained N=2 superfields

Description
Motivated by orientifold compactifications of type IIB string theory I will show how we constructed, in the context of 4D global supersymmetry, the coupling of the abelian DBI action to the universal hypermultiplet, in its single-tensor formulation. This involves constrained N=2 superfields, written in terms of N=1 superfields to keep one supersymmetry manifest, while the second one is nonlinearly realized. I will also show how this system transforms under an explicitly N=2 covariant electric-magnetic duality.
